The brief: 

Promote the sequel to one of the most terrifying (and profitable) films of all time.

Our response: 

Create an online toolkit with hidden and horrifying extras. 

The details: 

For a franchise that turned the horror genre on its head we looked to the unconventional side of online advertising.

Our online toolkit and pan-regional campaigns included advertising formats with hidden footage, and others that cleverly read the users’ CPU system clock to fool them into thinking the horror scenes shown before them were occurring in real-time.

Our goal was to build intrigue and drive views of the genuinely scary TV spot. 

The lowdown: 

Online Creative Concepting, Video Editing, Digital Advertising Design & Build and Pan-regional Management.

The highlights: 
  • Being part of the creative marketing team that helped the film achieve $92 million in box office receipts
