Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to the Terminator franchise after 12 years away needed a truly epic campaign to match. Spanning three months, multiple devices and the whole globe, it’s our biggest project yet, incorporating first look stills and exclusive reveals.

Our work on Empire Magazine’s iPad cover help change what readers could expect from the format, while our Xbox tie-ins finally gave gamers what they never knew they wanted: their very own minigun-toting Terminator avatar.

Then there’s our WebGL work, taking the gargantuan 3D model files from the film itself and simplifying them to run on a regular browser (without crashing Skynet). But why tell you, when we can show you…

The question

How do you mark one of the biggest comebacks in cinema?

The answer

With a movie site, an XBox experience, digital advertising, a WebGL content hub, a digital magazine cover and mobile advertising. All spread across 60 territories.

Arnie had certainly returned.

Context was key. From the first-reveal digital magazine cover to the gesture controlled, sequential mobile advertising, everything was tailored to it's medium.
